BEST PRACTICES FOR POULTRY HOUSE CLEANING AND DISINFECTION :

Important Tips for poultry farmers:

1. Prepare the house:

2. Remove the previous flock, litter and manure.

3. Allow down time for at least 15 days.

3. Sanitize drinking water system.

4. Sweep the house and thoroughly dry clean.

5. After final disinfection, give the house down time at least 15 days.

6. Disinfection of the house or pen and equipment: involves thorough application of broad – spectrum disinfectants. Give proper contact time.

7. Please use Vulkan-S of Huvepharma which is Bactericide, Virucide & Fungicide disinfectant by spraying at the dose of 5 gms for litre of water 💦 on empty buildings.

8. Disinfection in the presence of birds , please use Vulkan-S at dose of 1 gm for 1 litre of water 💦 and spray the solution in the air above 1 meter above birds to prevent bacterial and viral infections .

9. Fumigating, misting or fogging: This is the final biosecurity measure .

10. Please use safer chemicals, applied with thermal fogging machines or as a fine mist or spray.

11. Please use Vulkan-S at the dose of 10 gms in 1 litre of water for Thermal fogging as terminal disinfection.

12. Seal the house for 24 hours after fumigation and ventilate for entry.
