Pashudhan Praharee has instituted an award in the name of Dr. Arun Krishnan who is known as father of Blue revolution in India.
The concept of rapid increase in the production of fish and marine product through package programme is called as blue revolution. It was launched in India during the seventh Five-year plan (1985-1990) when the Central Government sponsored the Fish Farmers Development Agency (FFDA). It has brought improvement in aquaculture by adopting new techniques of fish breeding, fish rearing, fish marketing, and fish export.
The award will be given to the best fishery & Aquaculture entrepreneurs of India for his/her exemplary works & significant contribution in the development of Aquaculture sector .This award will be presented on the World Fishery Day ie on 21st Nov.every year.
Criteria for Nomination-On line via social media platforms in the prescribed format.
