Dr. Samson Sanjay Toppo Re-elected as President and Dr. Shivanand Kashi as General Secretary in Jharkhand Veterinary Service Association General Assembly
Dr. Samson Sanjay Toppo has been re-elected as the President, and Dr. Shivanand Kashi as the General Secretary of the Jharkhand Veterinary Service Association (JVSA) through mutual consensus.
The JVSA organized an International Women’s Day celebration cum general assembly on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the Directorate of Animal Husbandry, Hesag, Ranchi. The event was graced by Regional Director Ranchi, Dr. Ravi Kapoor; Regional Director Dumka, Dr. Vipin Mehta; Regional Director, North Chotanagpur, Hazaribagh, Dr. Newton Tirkey; President of Women Veterinarians, Dr. Nishi Kiran Verma; and Secretary, Dr. Nupur Koyal. The following resolutions were unanimously passed during the assembly:
- An increase in the monthly membership fee and lifetime membership fee was approved. Additionally, it was resolved that all members would renew their registration with the Jharkhand Veterinary Council only after obtaining a no-objection certificate from the JVSA.
- A proposal to construct the association’s own building on vacant land near the Directorate of Animal Husbandry was approved.
- The current executive committee was unanimously granted an extension of its term.
During the program, all women veterinarians and newly appointed veterinarians were felicitated with rose flowers. Following the notification of the revised service rules for veterinarians, a decision was made to expedite the departmental restructuring and identification process. Association President Dr. Samson Sanjay Toppo appealed to all esteemed members to strengthen the association economically, socially, physically, and mentally. Approximately 260 veterinarians participated in the event.
