GADVASU Professor Awarded Global Fellowship and Karmaveer Chakra Award

Dr. Hari Mohan Saxena, a retired Professor of Immunology from GADVASU, Ludhiana has been conferred the prestigious Rex – Karmaveer Global Fellowship and Karmaveer Chakra Award instituted by the International Confederation of NGOs in partnership with the United Nations. The past recipients of this coveted award include the Father of White Revolution Dr. Verghese Kurien and former President of India Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam. The award was bestowed upon Dr. Saxena at the Rex Conclave held at Faridabad recently. Dr. Saxena is a former Professor cum Head of Veterinary Microbiology Department of GADVASU, Ludhiana and has served earlier as the Director (Resident Instructions) cum Dean, Postgraduate Studies at BASU, Patna and Counsellor (S&T) at the Embassy of India, Moscow, Russia concurrently accredited to Ukraine and Belarus. Dr. Saxena is an eminent educationist and a distinguished scientist and has made several pioneering research contributions, innovations and discoveries in various fields. He is also a thought leader and a change champion.

Selection to this egalitarian, inclusive and one of its kind fellowship is based on the integrity and capability of an individual to create a positive attitudinal transformation in our society as a champion of change. It is a platform where everyone from captains of industry, people in government, media honchos, activists, youth, children, slum dwellers, Brahmins and Dalits come together as one “to RIGHT every WRONG” without having any prejudice with each other creating an egalitarian, just, humane and responsible society through the Karmaveer community. The Karmaveer awards are considered as the most credible and coveted awards.
