Homeopathy Remedy for Dog and Cat in Sadness, Loss & Grief
Although they may not express their emotions quite like humans, pets can be just as affected by stressful situations. Our companion animals not only live with us, but in some cases do everything with us – eat, work, travel, shop, sleep, and everything in between. It inevitably happens they pick up on our stressors, our emotions.
No one can escape loss, sadness, and grief. Every one of us has tasted some in our lives.
Although they may not express their emotions quite like humans, pets can be just as affected by stressful situations.
After all, they are sentient beings like ourselves. Our companion animals not only live with us, but in some cases do everything with us – eat, work, travel, shop, sleep, and everything in between. It inevitably happens they pick up on our stressors, our emotions.
Helping them thru these stressful times first starts as a responsibility we must accept as part of the choice of taking on a animal family member. Secondly, if we help balance our own emotional roller coasters, the animals will only benefit both emotionally and physically.
Here are some situations which may cause grief in our pets:
- being surrendered to a shelter, or rescue, with many animals
- being surrendered to and adopted by a new family
- sustaining abuse – physical or emotional
- dealing with anxiety and stress from disaster situations
- being removed too early from mama and siblings at weaning
- sequestering/isolation from the family or pack as punishment
- loss of any family members, temporarily or permanently
- leaving an animal at a veterinary clinic due to illness
- loss of home, or being lost
Grief is a natural mechanism for handling great loss of any sort. Homeopathic pet remedies can help move the grief, allowing the natural feelings to mature and be released.
Whether human or other animal (elephants, dogs, whales, monkeys, etc.), homeopathic remedy Ignatia amara will support the grieving, helping to restore engagement in life, soothing the emotional pain, and keeping the physical body healthy.
Animals respond beautifully to dosing with Ignatia amara. This is especially true if they are picking up the emotions of humans experiencing loss and pain. So, if you have been in grief lately, chances are your pet is, too! Ignatia amara is at the top of my list of homeopathic remedies for treating animals and humans under stress.
Dosing: if a 30C give it 2 times a day for 3 days, especially if it’s an acute grief, loss, anger that just occurred. If you have a 200C or higher, give (or take it) once only and see how they (or you) feel. An improvement might look like their energy improving; not sulking around; eating better; more cheerful; wanting to play more, etc.
HOW TO ADMINISTER HOMEOPATHIC REMEDIES FOR YOUR DOGS
Homeopathic remedies are completely different from traditional medicines, you do not need to worry about giving your dog the correct amount relative to body weight.
- One pill = one dose regardless of the age, gender, weight or type of dog.
You may have read in several sources that some rules exist when taking homeopathic remedies. But let me make it simple here for you-
My dog takes remedies in this way, and the remedies work just as well.
1- you can touch the remedy with your hands
2- you can put the remedy into their mouth with your fingers. Your dog may spit it out, don’t worry, just give it to him again
3- your dog can eat before or after taking the remedy
3- you can repeat the remedies as suggested every few hours with my methodology
4- you can make liquid remedies to administer in water if you prefer or find it easier.
