Poulry sector in India is valued at about 90,000.00 cr, out of 90,000.00 cr , Broiler industry in 62000.00 cr, and layer industry is about 28000.00 cr.
1)350 cr Broiler chick placement per annum
2) 70% integration farmers
3) 4.85 mt of meat production per annum
4) Broiler industry CAGR is 7.5%(compound annual growth rate)
5) poulry industry is contribution about 90,000 cr in GDP and providing employment to more than 4 million peoples either directly or indirectly.
6) broiler production is mainly concentrate on the state of TN, AP,MH,TS,KA, and WB.
7)if we talk about the maharashtra contribution is 11% in broiler production.
And out of 100 , 65% share is pune , Nasik and Sangli region . And rest of mh is 35%.

Top consumption city in MH
Mumbai 4 to 5 lakh week days, 7 to 8 lakh. Weekend and 12 to 15 lakh festivals days, 1.8 cr birds / monthly consumption
Pune 1.5 lakh birds per day

Nasik .75 lakh per day
Aurangabad .4 lakh per day

India’s per capita broiler consumption is 7 kgs, as compared to US 45 kgs, South Africa 34 kgs, canada 31 kgs , China 10.5 kgs

According to report by M. C Kinsey and company, the india’s per capita consumption is set to grow from 3.2 kgs to 9.1 kgs by 2030.( Report published on 2013)

Share of poultry and other meat in household food consumption is expected to grow from 12%to 24% by 2030.
