ORGANIC TREATMENT OF INFECTIOUS CORYZA

IC is an acute respiratory disease cause by bacteria.The bacteria multiply with time under favourable conditions when left untreated. It it’s characterized by inflammation mucus membrane of the nose passage and sinuses.

Infectious coryza is caused by several factors which include;

– Poor management

Poor management conditions like wet litters bring about build up of heat underneath the wood shavings thereby creating a favourable conditions for the bacteria to dwell, flourish and multiply.

– Ammonia

Wet shavings generate heat that irrigate the eyes increasing the susceptibility of the bacteria and since the bacteria is air borne, they r suspended in the air and r breath in by the birds.

Its therefore very necessary to ensure changing of wood shavings not less than every 6 days.
