Role of Veterinarian in preventing diseases:

1. Veterinarians work alongside farmers to make sure animals and birds stay in good health.
But how do they do that?

2. We give you three examples!

3. Vaccines: vaccinations of animals and birds .

a) prevent disease

b) stops the spread of disease to other animals

c) reduce the chances of disease outbreak.

4. Bio security:

a) educating the farmers

b) to limit the contact of bacteria from outside farm

c) stops the disease from entering through environment.

6. Advising for Successful poultry rearing and feeding which is an intensive task.

7. At every level, the requisite managerial and technical skills continually need updating.

a) Birds and animals need a steady supply of energy, protein, essential amino acids,

b) essential fatty acids, minerals, vitamins and, most important, water.

c) Dietary feed supplements like enzymes, probiotics, acidifiers etc which are the extra nutritional materials used

d) for nutritional, physiological, managerial or for health and profitability issues.

d) Immunity boosters to reduce the impact of disease and environmental stress.
