Skin Disease (Lumpy Skin Disease)
What is this skin tone disease?
Skin disease (lumpy skin disease) in cattle ( ೩೦. 100%) and in buffaloes ( ೧. 100%) found virus is a disease that is found in the family goat of the virus. Sheep and sheep are also of the same species. The disease was originally found in African countries and later found in Middle East, Southeast Europe, Russia and Kazak. Recently, brown has come in Odisha as well as in our state. It’s like the World Animal Health Organization manual, a defined disease. The disease is mainly transmitted through the humid summers like culex, adis mosquitoes, stomaxis, stable (horse sneeze), biomia, repicephalus and amblioma wools.
Otherwise, the disease can also be spread by direct contact, rarely contaminated water/fodder of diseased animals. The virus is very strong, can prevent a temperature of 40 degree centigrade up to two hours and up to 40 degree temperature. Comfortable thing but this disease doesn’t spread to humans.
What are the symptoms of the disease?
Severe fever appears in the early stages in infected animals. In one week of this, knots appear in the skin, gradually into the skin knots/crinkles/wrinkles, in which the virus will last for up to 15 days. These viruses are present in blood, sperm, jollu, eye and nose joints and are expelled through sperm and milk. Disease cows have excess fever, faded, nose, eye leakage, pouring, swelling of dairy, significant decrease in milk yields, fodder gradually without eating fodder. Gradually these knots of skin knots are stinky, rotten, scarf on the skin for a long time and causing huge damage to the skin.
Bulls meant for breed breed breeding become barren, abortion in the wombs filled with abortions, and are also likely to transmitted through a meat bag. If not treated, infected zodiacs will become inflammatory, skin knots become rotten, and deep pores in the skin due to the substance of pores. In the herd of recession, 1 to 5% of the zodiacs can be infected with the disease, and about 30 to 70% of them can die from lung inflammation.
What is the cure?
There is no suitable treatment for this virus-based disease. But death is not painful if anti-life, painkillers, inferiorators are given by specialist veterinarian in the early stage. Even though the death toll is low (100-40%) deaths occur due to the virus-infected animal attacking and destroying the lungs. Because death can be prevented if treatment is given immediately.
Control and Prevention:
೧. Disease-infected zodiacs should be separated from healthy animals and should be treated immediately. Mosquitoes / flocks should be kept in control by applying a palm to the custody.
೨. Mosquito curtains should be used.
೩. Transportation of zodiacs from one place to another, participating in fair/animal fairs is helpful in spreading the disease.
೪. Cleaning the beef barns and spraying appropriate gluten remedies as per veterinarian advice.
೫. Recovery requires two to three weeks of treatment.
೬. Dead zodiac signs should be buried deep and sprayed gluten remover and disposed properly.
೭. Weakened live vaccines are available abroad; there are instances of controlling the disease using goat/sheep debris vaccine in other countries.
Home remedy: Many types of home remedies can be used.
Quantity of medicine
Raw neem leaves 10 grams
Basil leaves 10 grams
Garlic 10 grams
Turmeric 10 grams
Neem oil 1 grams
Grind everything well and mix it with neem oil and apply regularly on the worms on the body for 2-3 days. Mainly this disease does not spread to humans. It is good to transfer this information to the masses since the disease has been seen a lot in cattle lately.
Just a few warnings
ü Medicine, tender water, water etc should not be forced to drink to a disease affected animal.
All livestock should be vaccinated a month before the disease is found in the neighbouring town. Because it takes 2-3 days to get immunity.
ü Bite fluid control is very important. It is very important to put neem oil on body, applying mosquito curtain, spraying pesticides in ED barn etc.
üNow there is high skin causing virus disease and without neglecting contact specialist veterinarian to get vaccinated before the disease and if the disease comes, it should be treated appropriate.
ü Instead of saying that everything should be done by the government, we should do proper treatment and restrictions to give our livestock as our property.
