A five days Training-cum-Workshop on “Chromatographic Techniques

A five days Training-cum-Workshop on “Chromatographic Techniques and their
applications in Research” was inaugurated by Dr. Rameshwar Singh, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna in Conference Hall
No. 2 of Bihar Veterinary College, Patna. Dr. Singh in his inaugural remarks stressed the need for hands on training about various chromatographic techniques to researchers and post graduate students to identify active ingredients. This will help in isolating active ingredients of herbal products, as there is greater emphasis on use of herbal products. The one of the
expert resource persons was Dr. Abul Hasan Ahmad, a learned Professor from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar. On this occasion Dr. J.K. Prasad, Dean, Bihar Veterinary College, Patna highlighted the importance of various chromatographic
techniques in analysis of drugs, pesticides and phytochemicals. Dr. Ravindra Kumar, Director
Research, Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna emphasized the need for this kind of Training-cum-Workshop which should cover the theoretical as well as practical sessions during the five days programme.
Several other renowned Experts from different parts of the country viz. Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao, Professor & Head, Sri Venkateshwara Veterinary University, Gannavaram
(A.P.); Dr. Tapan Kumar Mandal, Professor & Head, West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences, Kolkata and Application Specialists from Waters India Ltd., Bangalore as well as Anchrom Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai will be imparting hands on training to 25 Scientists and
Post-Graduate Scholars on various chromatographic techniques. The training-cum-workshop is being by organized the Department of Veterinary
Pharmacology & Toxicology, Bihar Veterinary College, Patna under the financial assistance of National Agricultural Higher Education Project, Innovation Grant of ICAR, New Delhi.Dr. Nirbhay Kumar, Asstt. Professor & Head, Department of Veterinary Pharmacology &
Toxicology and the Course Coordinator of this five days training-cum-workshop.
