TYPICAL CASE HISTORY & SUCCESSFUL VET’S INTERVENTION

Case History :
Jack Russel Terrier , female 4 years pregnant CANDY started showing symptoms of whelping from yesterday evening , and pet parents are wandering client usually from one clinic to another clinic according to their convenience, morning they took it to a vet clinic as candy was dull and had green discharge from the evening , few preliminary works were done medically and waited for few hours and sent home as the pet didn’t show any sign of whelping , they called by 11.30 Am to AMULYA PETS SPECIALITY CLINIC ,saying that so and so history , asked them to bring Candy for physical examination personally to give my opinion , they reached clinic by 12.45 approx and there was 5 puppies approx in radiology ( not clear though ) and the cervix was one finger dilatation, The heamtology was ok with mild Anemia ( RBC 4.65 , HB 11 ,TLc 13.8 ) liver values were mildly increase to 500 iu other things were fine , explained possible cause of inernia of uterine muscle and its tonicity as blood glucose level was also low 73mg/dL and we the started procedure and protocol for normal whelping with elective CS surgically if needed with consent from the pet parents and started the process by 1.30 pm and slowly all things were done went smooth too …………
First. puppy male @ 2.20 pm
Second. Puppy male @ 2.40 pm
Third. Puppy Female @ 4.40 pm
Now asked the owner to take the female to their home and remaining puppies would mostly be delivered normally in late evening or night else we would sort the next move accordingly…
Taught them how to do fanning and feathering to assit the female dog for endogenous hormone secretion , both CANDY and her family and puppies are happy and let see what’s up next with candy
