Ways to take care of your pets during this Diwali.

Diwali is just around the corner which means we must know how to tackle the Diwali night for our furry ones. Here are a few points to keep in mind for today and tomorrow –

  1. Try to take your pets out for walk during the day time or early evening before celebrations and refrain from taking them outside at night.
  2. Be watchful of any leftover crackers lying on road which your pet might try to ingest out of curiosity during walks.
  3. Did you know a dog’s hearing ability is seven times that of humans? They can also hear sounds four times further away. So it’s easy to understand that the noise of fireworks can really make them uncomfortable. To combat it keep your pets indoors and doors and windows shut to lessen the noise of fireworks coming in from outside.
  4. Keep your compound open or instruct the watchman of your apartments to let in scared animals at night for seeking shelter.
  5. Try to comfort your furry friends by being with them, petting them or play some light music for them if they look anxious. Do not leave them alone. Keep them hydrated.
  6. You can even consult your pet’s veterinarian (especially if your pet is prone to distress from loud noises) for certain medications which are herbal and completely safe and will take care of your pets anxiety during the Diwali night.

Forward this to your friends. Wishing you all a very happy, prosperous and safe Diwali in advance!
